No room on your trailer tongue for a spare tire? This angled carrier tucks your spare out of the way until you need it. The pivot swings the tire down so you can swap it out and get back on the road in no time.
Most folks think of side-mounts or upright tongue mounts for their spare tires, but those don't work if your trailer tongue is already crowded with a jack, winch, or storage box. That's where an angled carrier can be your friend. Tucked under the bow of a boat or out of the way on a utility trailer, it keeps your spare secure without taking up space you need for other gear. And because this model pivots, you don't have to wrestle with the tire to get it off the spare mount. Just swing it down, swap it out, and you're back on the road in no time. It's a great option if your trailer is tight on room or you want the spare tucked out of the way until you need it.
Trailers don't all run the same wheels, and that can cause headaches if you upgrade your rig. This carrier is built to handle 4-, 5-, or 6-lug spares, which means you can keep the same mount even if your trailer setup or wheel pattern changes. This carrier will work for you whether you run a small utility trailer with 4-lugs, a mid-size boat trailer with 5-lugs, or a heavier trailer with 6-lugs.

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Tie Down pivoting spare tire mount. If it's four, five, and even six-lug wheels, it has a nice galvanized finish over heavy duty steel. So folks, this angled spare tire carrier is gonna be great, and it's going to fit with this nice angle under the bow of your boat to maximize space efficiency on your trailer, so that you can then have easy access to your spare tire without having to sacrifice valuable storage room. And again, it fits four, five, and six-lug wheels, and it does that by having multiple different holes that you can put the wheel studs through, and then you'd have these three clips you put on before the lug nut, and that's gonna keep them nice and stiff and held in place. That way, when you're pushing your spare tire on, they're not sliding back out and those kind of things.
You have adjustable U-bolts, you have three different sets to go all the way up to three, four, and five-inch tall boat trailer frames. And again, when it's time to use it, you just simply unwind the knob here that's included, and then you can simply fold this down and out, and then reach your spare tire so much easier, it's gonna hang there on the trailer frame, it's gonna give you nice space. It even has cushion rubber right here, that way whenever you put this back up, it's not in your way, and it's not hurting anything either. So again, a great option for you. This again is the Tie Down pivoting square tire mount, again for four, five and six-lug wheels.
The galvanized steel finish is gonna prevent corrosion, meaning you're gonna have many, many years of long-lasting hold for your spare tire. Folks, that will wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven, thanks so much for watching, and have a great day.
